I have lots of problems and need help understanding!?
I’m homeschooled, and I really wouldn’t call it homeschooling. I’ve been doing it for about two years now. I’ve been slacking and not doing any work, I’m reading, but not doing my work. But, I’m starting to catch up on the subjects. Sometimes I feel so stressed about it, & about everything really! I’m going to get my GED but its making me feel so nervous!
Since, I’m homeschooled (and this is not entirely true with all homeschoolers) but I don’t get out much! Yes outside like grocery shopping and errands, but with friends! I have two friends who live in different states, and pretty much NO friends here. There is this one girl, but she’s 5 years older than me. She’s fine to hang out around, but she’s kind of a downer. And if can’t tell already I don’t need that right now! I’m 15 btw.
Anyways, I want to have friends but i’m also scared of having friends. My family isn’t poor, but we don’t have alot of spending money. Like for instants, if I wanted to the movies with a friend i’d have to plan it months in advance and my parents would probably say no. And I wouldn’t want anybody coming over to my house. Errr. I can’t explain it! Our house isn’t like Martha Stewart standards, and not like a pig sty.
I want to go shopping, I need winter clothes but I have to wait for christmas. And I feel poor having to wear the same jeans over and over and over again. I’m so scared of being judged or rejected!
I also help watch my brothers, but they can get so annoying! I feel so bad when I get angry at them or snap at them but I feel like I have so much responsibility on my shoulders! I have to walk the dog like 5 times a day, and she’s a crazy dog and barks at any dog she sees. Or if a dog off leash runs up to us, I have to pick her up or she’ll tear that dog to shreds so she ends up scratching the hell out of my stomach/back/arms!! I have to clean the kitchen, make dinner,( dinner–only when mom is not home.) do laundry, clean up the rooms, entertain my brothers, and do whatever my parents want me to do!
I feel ugly, and stupid and useless. I feel everything is wrong with me. I feel like I push away anybody that gets close to me. Also there is also this boy, who lives in bolivia that i meet in the summer. I’m terrible around boys! I’m talking to him on facebook, but he hasn’t replied to my message. And I knew he was on! And I was wondering if I said something wrong. I meet his sister-in-law and his nephew. I wonder if I said something stupid or made an idiot of myself! Argh.
My emotions are all wonky, and I feel like crying right now! Uh! I feel so out of sorts. I FEEL SO MUCH! I need help…just advice or something!!!!!
First, get a journal. I know it sounds kinda corny, but they seriously are amazing. You don’t have to have spell check, or use proper grammar, just use it as an outlet. You don’t even have to write everyday. Journals are great for doodling, venting, jotting down your thoughts, and releasing your stress. I’ve been writing about every other day since I was ten. It seriously makes a huge positive difference in your life.
Second, pull up your grades. School is only going to get harder, and in this day and age you pretty much need a college degree to get anywhere in this world. Start shaping up. Take it seriously. The state checks into home schooled children pretty thoroughly. They will know if you’ve been slacking. And trust me, at the very least you want to graduate from high school. This is an opportunity you don’t want to mess up, so make it count. Really focus on getting your grades up!
Once your studies are caught up, maybe look into doing something in your community. You sound pretty creative and have a strong need for an outlet. Look into doing a community theater in your area. The theater is a great way to get involved in something outside of school work, and it’s a great way to meet some awesome people! If that doesn’t interest you, keep your eyes open for stuff in your area. Being a part of a group or organization that you enjoy will give you a positive outlook, and will help you make a lot of new friends. Attend a youth group meeting, join a book club, join 4-H, join the Girl Scouts, pick up a hobby, take a sewing class, take a cooking class, take a dancing class…I’m sure you’ll be able to come up with something!
Good luck!

It sounds like to me that you are overwhelmed with your life.
You are obviously stressed out.
Life doesn’t always hand us solutions to go with the problems and situations we encounter. If you’re in a pinch, sometimes you have to use what you have, along with a bit of creativity and ingenuity, to get through it. No guide can address every possible situation that might arise.
We all deal with stress. Whether it be our jobs, family life, drama with friends, a relationship problem, or finances, stress is there. While a little stress is probably good for you, it’s the excess that does the harm. But there are ways of relieving it.
Here are some ways to overcome with stress, hope this helps:
*Take a deep breath. This is your first, most immediate defense against stress. If you can get in the habit of pausing and taking a nice, deep breath every time you feel stress beginning to take hold, you’ll have won half the battle just by preventing it from taking over.
*Get fit. Perhaps your health and appearance are stressing you out, but even if they’re not an issue, being physically fit can directly help relieve stress, which exists on both a mental and a physical level.
*Be aware of your choices; you always have a choice.
It is true that for far too many the options are limited often by outside forces over which they have little or no control. Still, there are choices to be made and it is in making those choices that we move ourselves towards our goals.
No one else can make the decision for you; you can get advice, do research, consult plan and dream but at the end of the day the choice is yours to make.
here are some stress reducing activities:
Imagery meditation. Meditating, concentrating or just emptying your mind while viewing tranquil scenery, either real or in video clips can help your mind let go of anxiety filled thoughts.
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
Self hypnosis
Indian head massage
Walk in the rain
Dance to relieve stress
