Tommy has a lot of sympathy-appeal due to his multiple disabilities. Jimmy (Quadrophenia) is schizophrenic but otherwise able-bodied.

It is this difference that makes me prefer Quadrophenia, though it is somewhat rougher and less polished than Tommy. I think Quadrophenia is far more multifaceted and multilayered. There is much going on in that head of Jimmy’s. Whereas Tommy is the pinball wizard, but that’s about the apex of depth to which Tommy is able to ascend.

Tommy is great entertainment, but for my money, Quadrophenia is a better film and album.

Controlling Girlfriend never stops yelling and complaining?
I have been with Jane Doe for 7 years now. She was passionate in the beginning and I needed her in every way. She is still there for me, BUT puts her two cents into everything. She tells me when I should pick up my children, where I should take them, how I should handle ANY situation regarding my mother, what I should do in almost every situation. Her boss at work told her that she has to stop interfering with co-workers cause they are complaining. She does the same with my parents who are elderly. There is no joy around her. She is always going at it. We cant have a weekend with my kids where there is spontanious fun. She brings us all down. They said that they feel sorry for me, cause when I drop them off at their mother, I have to go back home to the hell. Everyone tells me, wow, how do you deal with it man. She is always PMSing, them says sorry after everyone is effected. Her ruins special events and gathering cause she tells me she doesnt want the people around anyway, and contributes to it going wrong. I cant say boo w/o her commenting and telling me it needs to be done differently. The same approach goes on with her family. She is in everybodies business. She was never like this, and it is only getting worse. This is no life. she was there for me in the past, and a good friend, but now I cant even do something nice for her, w/o setting her off in some way. I dont even want to go near her anymore. I live with her, and its 90% sad, 10% ok..we are constantly going at it. She tells me she cant live w/o me, but then 5 minutes later, she is right back at the crap. I am exhausted by it, and the passion is going fast. I buy her things, and rather than saying thank you, she says, ok, leave it there. Or why did you spend your money on that stuff. I cant win. Have you ever considered that she might be bipolar?
I can identify with the results of many of your complaints and since I was unfamiliar with that condition , I attributed to myself , my problem and my children since I had custody of my 2 girls. I think you should familiarize yourself with that condition and posibly talk to her doctor. Good luck.

I have played all 3 classes. I prefer warrior, but I’ll give you my pros and cons of each class.

1. Warrior
Pros: superior damage mitigation, easy rotations, good single target threat
Cons: very little self healing /w conventional talent specs, hard to maintain aggro on multiple mobs

2. DK
Pros: superior self healing through blood spec, able to do good dps and tank at same time
Cons: tank rotation takes skill to master, poor damage mitigation

3. Paladin
Pros: superior self healing, good damage mitigation, superior multi-mob aggro
Cons: takes skill to master spells

I’m guessing you’re looking to PvP with the new toon, so my recomendation would be a DK because: they start at 55 which would save you some leveling time, In blood spec you do a ton of damage "and" healing at the same time which greatly increases your survivability, also death grip is an awesome move in capture the flag type BGs.

Any hope for the human race?
These recent events with China and Google pulling out had me cheering for a corporation finally pushing for an ethical viewpoint. Or at least that’s how I felt at first though, further reflection has forced me to readjust my beliefs. The other societies such as China with it’s Nazi like behavor, in addition to North Korea, Russia, and many other parts of the world is easy targets for criticism. However what the United States did and continues to do is absolutely not 1 bit better. It massacred the native Americans (in the name of their God and Manifest Destiny no less) lies about Weapons of Mass Destruction that never existed, where Bush gets off completely while Clinton was impeached for a private matter between his wife. What I am saying is there are absolutely no heroes in this world. No one to look up to as a positive example because it is all very self serving. Every single thing we are thankful for having was forcefully taken by means of murder, rape, and cultural genocide of a race that came before us. I doubt there is a country or group of people on this planet who was not responsible those crimes. If there is a way out of this mess then it must be by letting go of our primordial instincts, social instincts that are akin to a pack of wolves, letting go of our patriotism (I’m better than you because of the location of my birth), and religions.
We are barely any more developed than we were thousands of years ago; we’re still frivolous, petty, pride driven mammals only now there is the destruction of the global environment and nuclear war on the horizon has soon nearly everyone will have nuclear weapons. Our only hope is in space stations and off-planet bases where the logically minded individuals who built them shall end up. Perhaps it is a form of natural selection. The ignorant and lazy will kill each other off while those more disciplined will narrowly escape.

Maybe it will not come down to such an extreme result. I hope I’m wrong but that does appear to be the direction we are heading. In the stone age we weren’t just afraid of the dark - we are equally afraid of each other. No wonder every ideology begins with (you must follow this specific ideology or you will be punished eternally.)

It’s frustrating in how we grow into adults and how many of us not only fail to develop any further on the bases of cognizant, but also seem to suppress the natural and healthy instincts they possessed as a society. When I look and see the actions we make on a daily bases, the leaders we allow into office (no matter what our form of government is), and in general the values we judge by - leaves me walking away with a sense of,

"We are unbelievably screwed."

Unexplained long-termed nausea- any ideas to determine this?
I am a teen (15) and I don’t know what this has to do with. I have never experienced anything like this before. It’s a prolonged nausea located just near my diaphragm (slightly below the ribcage) and it is persistent and constant. Whatever it is, it is making me edgy,paranoid, and it is painful. I am unable to focus during the day, and night, and my doctor had prescribed to me nexium and (40 mg capsules) and propoxyphene. Nexium for acid reflex, and the proproxyphene as a pain killler. I am not sexually active, so this has nothing to do with pregnancy, so I marked that off my list of suspicions. The medicines do NOT work, and I’d like to get this solved as quickly as possible…- I have had stomach virus once, but I highly doubt it, because I have not thrown up. It’s that sort of nausea that feels like when you don’t eat for a long time, but I eat on a regular basis. I am also anemic. Any ideas?

i don’t know what that is, but i do know that you need to play around with different doctors. go to a stomach doctor (i dont know what they are called), google ur symptoms, and google stomach doctors. just make sure that if u arn’t getting cured from ur regular doctor, get some different one’s till u find the one that cures u.

Did the doctor test you for H-pylori? It is the bacteria that causes ulcers. You sound like you might have one. It should be treated with the nexium and antibiotics. Ask your parents to call your doctor, an untreated ulcer can become dangerous, not to mention painful. And, yes, unexplained nausea is a hallmark symptom of an ulcer.

Tell your doctor that the meds are not working. My first thought was that you are overproducing stomach acid, so maybe you just need a different medicine. Maybe he should also do an upper GI endoscopy, to look around for trouble or check for an ulcer. Are you being treated for your anemia? Eat food high in iron- eggs, broccoli, spinach, red meat, etc. I find eating lean proteins (beans are great!) every two hours or so helps with nausea.
